Lacquer finish

With the lacquered finish, color options of the door panel and drawer front are dozens. Quality lacquer spraying can form a consistent tone and durable coating. If you like the appearance of natural wood grain, we have a semi-transparent lacquered finish which can bring out characteristic of the natural wood grain. This semi-transparent finish applies to red oak only, alternatively, there is semi-solid finish available for red oak as well. Unlike semi-transparent, semi-solid finish has a better coverage which could cover natural wood’s imperfections, while the natural wood grain can be seen partially. Lacquer coating covers front face and edges of the door panel, and the back face is finished with melamine.

Core material

Core material for CLASSIC series red oak/aspen wood/rubber wood lacquer finish whole house custom we mainly use is solid wood, including quality red oak imported from North America.
Solid wood for making wardrobes is available in a wide variety of wood to choose and options from Shewell are red oak, aspen wood, and rubberwood. There are eight door patterns available, including slab, raised, shaker and cathedral.

Red oak

We have sources of red oak from North America. This quality red oak has beautiful wood grain. Faux wood grain like decorative paper cannot beat this natural beauty. So we adopt semi-transparent lacquer finish or semi-solid lacquer finish for red oak. Semi-transparent lacquer finish can bring out characteristic of red oak’s natural wood grain and its texture. This finish could enrich red oak’s natural grain. And semi-solid lacquer finish would hide some of the wood grain while allowing the texture to show. This finish could cover some wood’s natural imperfections.

Rubber wood

Rubber wood is a light-colored medium-density tropical hardwood obtained from the Pará rubber tree, usually from trees grown in rubber plantations. Rubberwood is a paint grade material similar in color to Alder. It has a relatively straight grain pattern which provides an excellent base for painting. We adopt spraying lacquer finish for rubberwood. The spraying process has six rounds, including lacquer bases and lacquer top. The sprayed lacquer forms a coating which gives the panel a solid and consistent color, that could be either glossy or matte. This coating covers both faces and four edges of the panel. It’s also a protective coating for core panel from moisture and insect.

Patterns of rubber wood door panel are framed door. We use one panel of 10mm thickness as insert, and frame this insert with four panels of 20mm thickness.

Aspen wood

Aspen wood is white and soft, but fairly strong, and has low flammability. Due to its softness, it’s an ideal material for making furniture because it’s easy to be shaped or cut. We adopt the same finish for the aspen wood door panel as rubber wood door panel. A consistent solid color coating covers aspen wood’s natural uneven grain and texture. As for patterns, there are more options you have for aspen wood door panels.

Edge Banding

Since spraying lacquer can cover either five of six sides of panel or all sides. Edge banding is not necessary for solid wood panels.

Bedroom

Classic design for wardrobe is to divide the wardrobe into three sections vertically, which are top cabinets, main section, and bottom cabinets. Top cabinets are hinged doors where we store our infrequently used items. The main section can be either hinged large cabinets or doorless closet. The doorless closet is a fashionable design, and soft lighting could give items in the doorless closet more shine and pair well with smooth lacquer surface.

Kitchen

Lacquer finish and solid wood can give your kitchen cabinets various color options and pattern options. Within CLASSIC series red oak/aspen wood/rubber wood lacquer finish whole house custom, gray and white color are recommended. These two classic kitchen colors pair well with glass doors and give your kitchen a harmonious and peaceful looking.

CLASSIC series kitchen comprises floor cabinets, wall cabinets and a kitchen island. Floor cabinets’ door panels can be designed in various patterns, including slab, raised, shaker and cathedral. Other than these classic options, ventilated doors are also available. This porous design is good for moist area. Ventilated doors make cabinets more moisture resistant and extend cabinets’ service life. Glass doors replace some of wooden doors for wall cabinets. Glass doors are sleek and wonderful for displaying your shiny cutlery set or beautiful containers. Kitchen island is an expansion for storage and its location is at the center of kitchen where it’s wonderful to display some flower to decorate your kitchen.
